There is the error zone of thought that we naturally gravitate to, and then there is the zone of thought that reduces the probability of error, heals wounds and is not prone to make decisions based on historical ego.
I want to coach you up into the second zone. That means you will make choices based on: desire to, choose to, and love to.
At the Got to level there is an imbalance of data (sensory input) that leads to a ratio of 7:1 of positives or negatives against the balance (eg: 7 positives to one negative or visa versa) the ratio decreases from there all the way to the top, the love to, at 1:1.
Most decisions we make are therefore somewhere in between the two and are a combination of emotion, logic and stimulation (reaction) and I want you to consider how foolish it is to trust those three.
Emotion is a culmination of issues passed to you by family, culture, friends, education, mind wash and your own experience. All of which can be blind sided by introspective awareness.
Logic relies on the tested seeking information to validate a pre set hypothesis. The experiment and the experimenter are never separate.
Stimulation is pavlovian. It's more reactive and maybe like ice-cream makes your mouth water, or alcohol makes you feel comfortable, these reactions are very subconscious and hugely self sabotaging. They are your addictions.
