Come Home With More Energy Than You Left With
Why would you come home with less energy than you left with? If you went on holidays and sat in a chair, thinking about the beautiful space you were in, you'd be happy and energised. Excited in fact.
All PAIN IS A DRAIN
Life was never meant to be filled with pain. We do evolve at the border of support and challenge and so challenge, especially mental, spiritual and emotional pain, can be mistaken for pain. And if we have pain, and don't know when it's going to end, it becomes suffering.
Pain and suffering burn energy.
All reaction to pain is a drain on energy - whether positive or negative, pain and reaction, whether emotional, physical, spiritual or mental, burns energy.
Reaction comes from lack of love.
If you love something, you are not reacting to it positively or negatively. It just is what it is, you get on with it.
So emotional intelligence might be an oxymoron.
Reaction disempowers the reactor and empowers what they are reacting too.
Reaction is a form of Pain that drains energy. Lets consider how we can live almost painlessly and therefore with more energy than ever before:
- Overcome Physical Pain
- Overcome Emotional Pain
- Overcome Mental Pain
- Overcome Spiritual Pain
Physical Pain
Discomfort in the physical body, like busting for a pee, an itchy scalp, a broken leg or a diabetic issue of lack of energy all drain energy. If your posture isn't good or your breathing not cyclic or you are addicted to coffee or eating too much starch and crap, you'll be tired. Physical pain is not only uncomfortable, it's exhausting. There are, of course, physical pains that are not within the scope of this paper, such as being smashed and losing consciousness, but most other pain can be, to a degree, managed.
Physical pain comes from the body nerves. There are referred pains, such as a sore shoulder that is actually referred from the spine nerves. There are tissue nerve pains, that come from bites, cuts and stings. There are pressure pains when there's not enough space for the muscle, nerve and tissue to expand. All of these pains can, to a degree be managed by self hypnosis, breathing techniques and inaction.
However, with most physical pain there is an emotional and mental component that makes matters 10 times worse. We worry about the immediate ramifications of the current psychical pain (like not getting to work or on a plane or finishing a contract) and we worry about the longer term, in extreme cases life and death, but in most cases, how this pain will affect us in our future.
This is where we differentiate between pain and suffering. Pain we know will end. Suffering we do not know when it will end.
Most physical pain has a somewhat foreseeable end date or time, but not always. So, with some training, most people can handle pain - but suffering is terrible and exhausting and few people can handle it, or survive it.
We must eliminate suffering and turn it back to pain.
Emotional Pain
When pain becomes suffering it becomes emotional. Pain is pain, sometimes severe, but we know it will end one day, or someday we know the pain will go away. But when pain becomes suffering, we increase the hardship because now we've included emotions that make the possibility of pain endless. We might not even see a future because the pain has become suffering. If i say to you, "I am in pain but it will go soon, one day at a time" then I am only in pain. But if I say to you "I am in pain and there is no future" it is because I recognise this pain might last for the whole of my life and I don't want to feel this pain for the whole of my life, the pain has now become suffering. This is a terrible result.
So, emotional intelligence or the discard form or nature's universal laws provide a mechanism "A STOP POINT" to make pain (suffering) go away and we therefore know that emotional pain associated with physical pain can be bought to a stop eventually. This is a confidence we need to build up by practicing the Emotional Shower and Discard Forms.
Emotional Pain is resolved by finding INSPIRATION.
To be Inspired we say "I do what I love and love what I do" Which means no matter what I'm doing right now, there has to be two sides and I'm going to focus on the good side.
Mental Pain
Worry and anxiety kills more people than all other causes combined.
My Dad said "I'm dying from worry and 99% of the things I worried about never happened"
Worry is a habit. I love alcoholic anonymous anthem, the serenity prayer.
Do you worry about things you can't change? Do you spend time thinking to yourself and talking to yourself about yourself? Maybe it's time to consider the idea that trying to change who you are is a false notion?
I'd like to discuss mental pain with you over the phone tomorrow.
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference. Reinhold Niebuhr
To overcome mental pain and suffering we must have a clear and bulletproof belief that we will cause the future we'd love. To believe this is to understand the process of manifestation.
The further someone looks into the future, the dumber they become"
So we must create a clear vision that is not filled with puffery. This is the hard work of vision.
Spiritual Pain
To live with spirit is to never become engaged in the low emotions of life: Even if those low emotions are present, we decide not to give them power. Low emotions are jealousy, anger, rage, hate, lust, unthankfulness, there are more. This flies in the face of emotional intelligence but that model is also coming under fire.
So, spiritual pain is the lack of any meaningful reason to wake up tomorrow. This is the ultimate suffering when all seems like it's lost. Spiritual suffering is life without purpose or meaning, and it happens when the ego grows without boundaries. It's very difficult because it is a sort of prison created by self obsession. Trying to make sense of the senseless.
