A Balanced Person is Balanced in Each of the Seven Areas of Life... Total Human Awareness again
Ok, so it's 4.00pm and you're at work, you say to yourself "damn, I just can't wait to go home and do some relaxation after my exercise" - do you realise that you are making 4 big mistakes:
1. Nature seeks balance in all things so, your state of mind at work is going to cause someone at work to react. They'll become hyper vigilant and probably not friendly with you.
2. By counterbalancing your work with not work, you are going to diminish the quality of work that's going on at work and make your sport life and family pay for your incompetence.
3. Your belief that relief is on its way after work is a myth because stress is cumulative. If you are out of balance for 2 hours at work, you'll need more than that to get yourself back in the work zone next day. Running doesn't recuperate emotional exhaustion.
4. You don't have to buy the idea that hard work is good management. Actually, on a longer term sustainable basis the person who lets themselves drop into victim and blame for their mind state will definitely not hold the enjoyment, satisfaction or love for their work that makes what they do a positive feedback loop.
So, what can you do different?
