When you struggle with your happiness in life it's because you want what you haven't got. As an enlightened person, you would naturally switch that around and want what you've got. If you want what you've got, you'll be content. But there's a problem.
We may aspire on one hand, the more spiritual side of ourselves to become content and satisfied with life, but our employer, partner, children, community and family will want us to be engaged, in other words, wanting what we haven't got. Trying to help people grow, build more, do more, raise more, stop more. In other words we're always challenged to decided whether we will be content and just chill out all day watching tv or playing golf, or go for it, get a better job even though, for the most part, we may not need the money.
On the other side, we may be ambitious for money and want more love and contentment. This is when we're thinking we need what we haven't got, and yet, we want the peace of mind, contentment that will allow us to love more.
First, consider that the mind state that will cause business success is guaranteed to cause relationship failure. Wanting what you haven't got at work will drive success but wanting what you haven't got at home, will drive you into self-sabotage and loneliness. It's abusive.
So, we can see that there are times to think one way for success, and times to think the opposite to achieve a different success.
Now consider the inner and outer. Can we find an inner stillness while still aiming for outer goals and achievements? The answer is yes, and this is what I'd love to demonstrate for you.
